Inter Milan, out of nowhere, produced a very dismal performance in the Italian top tier before going into international break as they were thrashed by Atalanta by a margin of 4 goals to one. Inter had won 7 games on the bounce ahead of that game and were the favorites to earn all three points on their visit to Bergamo, but as it turned out, not only were they handed a defeat, it was a humiliating defeat. They never seemed to be able to match Atalanata at any stage of the game.
According to the Inter head coach Luciano Spalletti, it’s very important to just try and get better every game and not to think about the defeats too much. When you are in a flow, you are playing well, winning games and you have a setback in between, just get it out of your system as soon as possible. There is no point spending a lot of time thinking about it. Spalletti was glad that the reaction from his players after that loss at Bergamo was pretty positive.
“The team did well. We reacted in the right way.” Spalletti was quoted saying by FOX Sports.
“My aim is that the team keeps improving, forgetting about any setbacks when they happen.” Spalletti added.
